Julian Pawsey - Director
Julian’s post-school journey encompassed a two-year apprenticeship in joinery – arming him with invaluable practical skills and the attention to detail that he carries through to present day.
However, living in the heart of Suffolk surrounded by fields, agriculture seemed a more fruitful path. He studied at Shuttleworth College and afterwards gained experience working and running various agricultural enterprises including a pig farm, a contract lime spreading business and an agricultural contracting business. This gave him the experience of heavy plant and machinery which now enables Nascentia to tackle just about anything.
Julian’s career to date has also included various building projects and a diversification into the fisheries industry – creating fishing lakes and ponds and breeding, cultivating and selling fish stock throughout the UK. However he found that landscaping enabled him to combine all these skills and for the past fourteen years he has been running his own landscape contracting business, working with designers from London and throughout East Anglia.
Julian and his team were instrumental in the construction of a Courtyard garden for a London based designer at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2007 and Julian's first outing with John at Chelsea was awarded a Silver medal by the RHS judges followed by a Gold at the 2008 show.
And no, a haircut is not on the cards!
