Nascentia awarded contract to construct garden designed by RHS Chelsea Flower Show ‘Best in Show’ designer Tom Stuart-Smith | June 2010
Celebrated designer Tom Stuart-Smith has designed a beautiful garden for a Suffolk residence and, following a recommendation and some rigorous screening, Nascentia are thrilled to be awarded the contract to construct it.
Set within a 1500m2 walled garden the design includes three terraced levels with reclaimed brick retaining walls, 450m2 of reclaimed York stone paving and steps with a central reflective pool as the main feature.
The concept for the design is that of a Mediterranean style garden with informal gravel paths and natural style planting framed by both semi mature olive trees and 5 mature cloud pruned carpinus trees (each approximately 35 years old and necessitating the use of an 80 tonne crane to move them!)
A very exciting project demonstrating Nascentia’s ability and willingness to construct gardens designed by other designers. Unfortunately we are unable to show any pictures of the garden due to a client privacy clause but trust us... it looks AMAZING!!!!
